THE EDUCATOR’S ROLE
Our duty is to open doors
Not to close them,
To unlock gateways
And not to nail them shut.
Our responsibility is to guard opportunity
Not to deny that it exists,
To pursue access
And not to block our students’ way.
Our charge as educators is to empower potential,
Not to limit it,
Not to keep children Earthbound,
But to grant our students wings
So that they may dance upon their dreams.
