Dear Sig-
We very much enjoyed your presentation. It was duly noted
how involved you got our upper grade students. I've been
telling people about the "elephant" you had in
the house, and the kid that did the train whistle after
your "chug-a chuga" sounds. Kids on the bus were
talking about the man "who sang his poems." It
was truly interactive for all ages. At our meeting today,
one of the librarians said that she wants to see if the
district will invite you back for our "Super Reader"
Conference which we hold in May for the top readers in each
grade level in all our schools. It would very much be a
day like yesterday. The only complaint was that the librarians
didn't have have enough book buying time. They felt it should
have been during the lunch period, in shifts, while others
watched the kids.
You might consider coming to the library
conference and having a booth to sell your books, or get
in as a program speaker next year so that they will be flocking
to you to sign up for speaking dates. You could get more
information for next year's conference at the Arizona Library
Association website. But remember to keep a date open for
us! I will be in contact when we get a date planned for
May.
